Grant is provided under the Matching Grants to PVO"s Project (9350158) to the Institute for Development Research (IDR) for its program called "Private Voluntary Development: Issues for the 1990"s," an exploration of critical issues involving North-South relations in the voluntary sector.

Abstract
IDR will prepare a paper on these issues for the Development Assistance Committee"s conference on "Strengthening Non-Governmental Partners in Developing Countries," to be held in Paris in 11/88, as well as a follow-up paper on the implications for U.S. PVO"s of the conference deliberations. IRD will also develop a case study of the local organization development capacity of the International Institute for Rural Reconstruction, a U.S. PVO.
