Matching Grant to Foster Parents Plan (PLAN) to expand its income generation programs for poor farm families by consolidating ongoing programs in six countries (Egypt, India, Indonesia, Nepal, Philippines, Sri Lanka) and initiating programs in four countries (Sudan, Ecuador, Honduras, Sierra Leone).

Abstract
To achieve project objectives, PLAN will: (1) identify appropriate small-scale technologies for its projects, particularly postharvest technologies (e.g., pedal threshers, peanut shellers, water storage receptacles); (2) develop manuals and case studies on income generation, and use these and other materials in training workshops for staff; (3) organize small community business clubs for continuing training and leadership development; and (4) establish links with local lending institutions to enable the target population to have access to the formal credit system.
