AID grant no. 615-0236-G-00-9069-00 to Kenya Freedom from Hunger Council for a program in applied nutrition

The program, which gives particular emphasis to the nutritional needs of women, children under 5 years, and the landless, includes health and nutrition education, growth monitoring, immunizations, credit for food production and water supply improvements, and training of community leaders, village health workers, and local committee members. KFFHC will increase the number of beneficiaries at the two existing locations (Karurumo and Kasafari) and will extend the program to a new site (Evurore). In all, some 25,000 persons will benefit.
