Grant is provided under the Humanitarian Prosthetics project in Ethiopia to Medicins du Monde (MDM) for an emergency program in rehabilitative surgery at two major hospitals in Addis Ababa.

Abstract
Some 2,000-5,000 victims of Ethiopia"s civil war who are waiting for rehabilitative surgery will benefit. MDM will (1) provide the services of four surgeons (2 orthopedic, 1 maxillofacial, and 1 urologic or ear-nose-throat) to enable the Military Hospital to continue rehabilitative surgery following the 1992 departure of Eastern European surgeons and (2) upgrade and equip the Orthopedic Department at Black Lion Hospital.
