Grant is provided under the South Coast Rice Production project (6570010) in Guinea-Bissau to the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) to support the Mangrove Rehabilitation for Rice Production Program (a multidonor effort of A.I.D., Kuwait, and the International Fund for Agricultural Development).

Abstract
The grant will finance TA in vehicle and equipment repair and maintenance for the Ministry of Rural Development and Fisheries" Department of Hydraulics and Agricultural Soils (DHAS). A long- term (21 months) FAO advisor will provide assistance with (1) organization and management of the DHAS maintenance facility in Catio; (2) accounting and control systems; (3) long-term and annual operating plans and budgets; (4) training of facility mechanics.
