Grant is provided under the PVO Co-financing Project in Indonesia to Sekretariat Pembinaan Sumbre Daya Manusiawi (referred to as BINA DESA) to support the development program of Yayasan Pembinaan Subur Sejahtera Masyarakat (Bina Sutera), which includes farmer training, a pilot water purification project, and exploration of peat resources.

Abstract
The program is expected to benefit 2,500 families in West Kalimantan. Specific activities will include: organizing 100 farmer groups to support cooperative marketing and capital resources; establishing a pilot water purification project in Rasau Jaya by constructing 5 deep wells and 200 mini purification tanks; promoting secondary crops, animal husbandry, and home industries (e.g., the processing of tahu and tempe, cassava flour, kerupuk, and timur); exploring peat as a source of fuel, as well as appropriate agricultural applications for peat soils, particularly in Rasau Ledo; and strengthening Bina Sutera by hiring and training personnel.
