AID grant no. OTR-0086-G-SS-5042-00 to the Overseas Education Fund International for an international forum on women, law and development to take place in Nairobi, Kenya in July 1985

Grant is provided under the Human Rights project (9300086) to Overseas Education Fund International (OEFI) to co-sponsor an international forum at which OEFI will launch its planned 10-year Women, Law, and Development Program to help Third World women"s organizations use legal strategies to improve the status of women.

Abstract

Activities will include: outreach, to identify organizations and strategies; the preparation of case studies and analytical papers; the forum itself, which will be held in Nairobi, Kenya, in July 1985; publication of reports and papers from the forum; and follow-up and the consolidation of networks of women"s organizations.
