Abstract
It serves as a model for conservation of natural resources, sustainable rural development, ecotourism activities, engagement of youth, and livelihood support. The park showcases all the tourist attractions in Anjar and promotes locally made products in its Nature Shop. The park was established under the Livelihoods in Forestry (LiF) project, which was funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and implemented by the Lebanon Reforestation Initiative (LRI) in partnership with the municipality of Anjar and Homentmen Club NGO. The park offers a range of packages customized according to visitors' needs and interests, including options for families, groups, and individuals. Visitors to Anjar Eco Park can enjoy a memorable stay and discover the natural, cultural, historical, and culinary assets of Anjar. The park features the World Heritage Archeological Site of Anjar, which includes Umayyad Ruins, and the Ethnographical Museum, which provides insight into Armenian history. Additionally, guests can explore the local guesthouses, hotels, and restaurants in Anjar, which are listed on a QR code provided by the park. Having a tour guide by one's side during a visit to Anjar Eco Park can enhance the experience. Local expert guides are available to explain the different cultures and traditions in Anjar and provide interesting insights about the places visited. The park's goal is to promote ecotourism and support local livelihoods, while also conserving natural resources and preserving the cultural heritage of the region.
