Abstract
The activity is led by Dexis Consulting Group and has a contract duration of August 23, 2021, to August 22, 2026. The main goal of ProIntegridad is to work with multi-stakeholder coalitions of local counterparts in government, the private sector, and civil society to promote a fair, transparent, and competitive business environment that attracts greater investment and drives economic growth. During the initial five-week period from August 23 to September 30, 2021, the ProIntegridad team focused on carrying out four main tasks. The first task involved holding initial working meetings with Mission staff to review the contract and clarify roles and responsibilities. The team also advanced the recruitment process for technical and administrative personnel, with more than 250 applications received for the 14 available positions. The top three candidates for each position were selected, and the interview process was completed. The second task involved developing initial program deliverables, including a draft Activity Factsheet, a Transition Plan, and a Mobilization Plan. The draft Activity Factsheet was prepared in anticipation of the post-award conference, and the Transition Plan outlined the transition of TRRP's current staff members to ProIntegridad. The Mobilization Plan described the Activity's anticipated steps to establish the Project office and launch interventions. The third task involved carrying out other relevant administrative tasks to launch Project operations. The ProIntegridad team also held a meeting with USAID's Mission Director to outline the Activity's anticipated priorities, counterparts, and sectoral focus. This meeting served to discuss upcoming steps and the Mission's vision for the Project's image and key communication messages before local stakeholders. The ProIntegridad activity has a geographic coverage of 5 target states to be defined in consultations with the Mission, as well as nationwide through partnerships with federal government agencies and other stakeholders. The activity's annual report period is from August 23, 2021, to September 30, 2021. The ProIntegridad team has made significant progress in the initial five-week period, and the activity is expected to continue making progress in the coming months. The ProIntegridad activity has several performance indicators, including the number of government officials receiving USG-supported anti-corruption training, the percentage increase in visitors to the platform for cross-border compliance professionals, and the number of participants at events educating companies on USMCA requirements and expectations of US businesses regarding integrity standards. The activity's performance will be monitored and evaluated through the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) Plan, which is expected to be completed in November 2021. The ProIntegridad activity has a strong team in place, with key personnel positions filled, including the Senior Private Sector Integrity Advisor, Private Sector Integrity Specialists, and Director of Operations. The Activity team is expected to continue making progress in the coming months, and the activity is expected to have a positive impact on Mexico's business and investment environment.
