Abstract
The project is funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and is implemented by PATH, a global health organization. The project targets the Government of the Republic of Zambia (GRZ) entities, including the Ministry of Health, provincial medical offices, and the National HIV/AIDS/STI/TB Council, as well as other stakeholders such as USAID, other U.S. Government agencies, and local organizations working in TB and HIV. The project branding strategy involves using the USAID Eradicate TB Project title and branding the activity under USAID. PATH will not generate a unique project logo, but will instead use the full name of the project in English on most materials and in local languages upon concurrence from USAID. The project will also mark all signage and materials with the USAID standard graphic identity, comprising the USAID brandmark, entire logo, and tagline that clearly communicates that the assistance is "from the American People." The project will leverage a range of communication materials to promote the visibility and acknowledgment of USAID as the funding agency. These materials include capacity-strengthening materials, such as guidelines and protocols, job-aids, and training manuals, as well as communication materials, such as press releases, newsletters, project updates, social media, and advertisements. The project will also use representative opportunities, such as program launch events, research and technical reports, and national commemoration events, to generate awareness about the USAID Eradicate TB Project and its funding source. The marking plan for the project involves primarily using the USAID identity on public communications and program materials, with other partner logos and symbols added as appropriate and required. The USAID logo will always be placed in the left-most corner, with all other partner logo(s) to the right. The USAID identity will be of equal or greater size and prominence to all others, as per the USAID Graphic Standards Manual guidance on size, format, and placement. All printed and/or public facing items and materials will be provided to USAID for review and approval prior to manufacture and printing. Public communications financed by USAID that are audio, visual, or electronic in nature will prominently display the USAID identity. Materials, such as studies, reports, publications, websites, and informational and promotional products, will contain a disclaimer stating that they are made possible by the support of the American People through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). The project will also use social media, including Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube videos, to promote the project and its funding source. The project will acknowledge USAID, PATH, and other partners on social media, as directed by the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR). The project will also use other communication materials, such as press releases, newsletters, and project updates, to promote the project and its funding source. Overall, the USAID Eradicate TB Activity is a project aimed at reducing tuberculosis-related mortality in Zambia by 50 percent in six intervention provinces by 2022. The project is funded by USAID and is implemented by PATH, a global health organization. The project will use a range of communication materials to promote the visibility and acknowledgment of USAID as the funding agency and to generate awareness about the project and its funding source.
