Centro educativo ocupacional agropecuario - rural education and training project

Grant provided under Program Development and Support Project 5270000 to the Agricultural Occupational and Education Center (CEOA) operated by the Salesiana Congregation in the Calca Province of Peru"s Cusco Department, to initiate a pilot rural education program in up to 10 communities.

Abstract

CEOA will train three persons from each community to promote improvements in crop diversification (alternatives to coca), health, morality, childhood education, and management of small rural businesses. By the end of the first year, community, school, and family gardens will be in operation and each community will have a mothers" club and a health promoter. The program will form part of CEOA"s Monte Salvado Agricultural School Garden Project.
