The WAPDA Code of Conduct outlines guidelines for interaction between incoming workers and security personnel.
2 pages

Abstract
The code emphasizes the importance of adhering to the highest ethical standards of conduct in all project activities. WAPDA is committed to providing a safe and healthy workplace for its employees, and all facilities must comply with workplace safety laws. The code stipulates that interaction with incoming workers must be respectful and dignified. Incoming workers must be treated as respectable citizens, and facilities such as a sitting place and drinking water should be available to them. The code also requires that incoming workers possess identification documents, specifically a Computerized National Identity Card, which they must carry with them and present to security personnel at work sites. WAPDA and contractors are expected to follow the rules of Security Forces for identification and confirmation of nationality, character, and other relevant information. The personal information of each incoming worker must be recorded precisely and shared with Security Forces only. A list of incoming workers with sufficient details must be provided to Security Forces on a daily basis to prevent conflicts at entry and exit points. The code also emphasizes the importance of non-discrimination among workers, stating that every incoming worker will have equal rights regardless of caste, tribe, or other factors. Designated officers are responsible for interacting with new workers and applicants, and they must respect local norms and social status. The code prohibits harassment of any kind, including sexual harassment, and provides a mechanism for reporting violations of the law, this code, or other policies. A complaint register will be placed at each work site for workers to lodge complaints against any officer. The register will be checked daily by the Chief Engineer, and any complaint lodged will be forwarded to the Project Director for resolution. The Project Director will be responsible for resolving the complaint.
