Abstract
The program's main objective is to empower rural citizens to function as effective partners with the public and private sectors. CDLO's senior technical staff and field personnel continuously evaluate and fine-tune the program's overall strategy for sustainable territorial development. Throughout Fiscal Year 2018, CDLO implemented various interventions to achieve its objectives. The program focused on three key areas: regional status, detailed list of approved activities, and status of overall activity progress. In the regional status section, CDLO reported on the progress of its activities in various departments, including Antioquia, Caquetá, Cauca, Cordoba, Guaviare, Meta, Nariño, Norte de Santander, and Putumayo. CDLO's detailed list of approved activities for Fiscal Year 2018 included a range of initiatives, such as the implementation of the Espacios Territoriales de Evaluación (ETE) program, continued collaboration with relevant stakeholders, and the mapping and characterization of corridors exercise. The program also reported on the completion of administrative actions, including the establishment of regional offices and staffing. The status of overall activity progress was also reported, with CDLO highlighting its achievements in promoting territorial development and reducing illicit crop production. The program's senior technical staff and field personnel continuously evaluated and fine-tuned the program's overall strategy for sustainable territorial development, incorporating lessons learned from previous interventions and careful analysis of territorial security considerations. CDLO's gender and vulnerable populations strategy and communications and outreach plan were also implemented during Fiscal Year 2018. The program's gender and vulnerable populations strategy aimed to promote the participation and empowerment of women and vulnerable populations in the decision-making process. The communications and outreach plan was designed to raise awareness about the program's activities and promote community engagement. Despite the challenges posed by the transition of the Government of Colombia and the release of the 2017 United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime report, CDLO continued to make progress towards its objectives. The program's senior technical staff and field personnel worked closely with local stakeholders to adapt the program's strategy to the changing context. In terms of budget, CDLO reported on its annual spending for Fiscal Year 2018, which totaled $X million. The program also reported on its contractual instruments, including the USAID contract No. AID-514-H-17-00002. Overall, CDLO's Annual Performance Report for Fiscal Year 2018 highlights the program's progress towards its objectives and its commitment to promoting collective vision of territorial alternative and rural development in Colombia.
