Abstract
The USAID Mission Infrastructure Needs Program II (INP II) focuses on the rehabilitation and construction of roads, schools, and water & wastewater projects. The USAID objective is to help the Palestinian economy by improving Palestinians' access to basic infrastructure and services. The objective of this Task Order is to construct two new water reservoirs, two new booster pump stations, and their associated supply and distribution pipelines, in order to improve distribution and increase access to clean drinking water to the population of Gaza. The first area is Al Berkah, located in the Middle Area in Gaza Strip, the Al Berkah project includes the construction of a 3800m3 ground reservoir and a new Booster Pump Station connected to a new UPVC distribution network with an approximate total length of 2.6 KLM varying in diameter. The second is Ma'an area located south of the Gaza Strip in Khan Younis, the project at Ma'an area includes the construction of a 3800m3 ground reservoir, and a new Booster Pump Station connected to a new UPVC distribution network varying in diameter. The construction of the Al Berkah and Ma'an water reservoirs and pumping facilities is a critical component of the USAID Mission Infrastructure Needs Program II. The project aims to improve the distribution of clean drinking water to the population of Gaza, which has been severely impacted by years of conflict and neglect. The construction of the reservoirs and pumping facilities will enable the Palestinian Water Authority to increase the availability of clean drinking water to the population, thereby improving public health and reducing the risk of water-borne diseases. The project is being implemented by The Morganti Group, Inc. under Contract No. AID-294-I-00-12-00002 and Task Order No. AID-294-TO-15-00009. The project is expected to be completed within a specified timeframe, with regular progress reports submitted to the USAID Mission. The project's progress is being monitored by the USAID Mission, which is responsible for ensuring that the project is implemented in accordance with the terms and conditions of the contract. The construction of the Al Berkah and Ma'an water reservoirs and pumping facilities is a complex project that requires careful planning and execution. The project involves the construction of two new water reservoirs, two new booster pump stations, and their associated supply and distribution pipelines. The project also involves the installation of new UPVC distribution networks, which will enable the Palestinian Water Authority to increase the availability of clean drinking water to the population. The project's construction is being carried out by The Morganti Group, Inc., which has extensive experience in the construction of water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
