Abstract
The project involves the upgrade of drainage and sanitation systems in the EKAM settlement. The project scope includes the installation of sewer service connections, inspection and repair of septic tanks, and the construction of concrete cleanout structures and precast sewer manholes. The project bid schedule is structured into several sections, including line items with quantities, unit prices, and line item costs. Offerors are required to submit line item unit costs in both words and dollar figures, as well as line item project costs in dollar figures. The total project bid must be submitted in both words and dollar figures and signed. The bid schedule includes 19 line items, each with a description, unit of measure, quantities, unit cost in US dollars, and cost in US dollars. The line items include administrative requirements, insurance, mobilization, demobilization, and various construction services such as sewer service connections, inspection and repair of septic tanks, and the construction of concrete cleanout structures and precast sewer manholes. The quantities and unit costs for each line item are as follows: 16 linear meters of 150mm sewer service connections, 13 each of inspection and repair of PVC tees in septic tanks, 1,000 each of 200mm gravity sewer pipe, 26 each of concrete cleanout structures, and 13 each of 1.3m precast sewer manholes. The total cost for the administrative requirements is $0, while the total cost for the treatment system is $1,073 per square meter. The project also includes the construction of a multi-baffled chamber, distribution boxes, sand filter systems, fill and grade detention ponds, and rip rap. The quantities and unit costs for these line items are as follows: 2 each of multi-baffled chambers, 2 each of distribution boxes, 1,073 per square meter for sand filter systems, 1 lump sum for fill and grade detention ponds, and 12 per square meter for rip rap. The project bid schedule also includes allowances for environmental impact assessment and mitigation measures, as well as the construction of a 300mm mortared stone channel. The quantities and unit costs for these line items are as follows: $1,000 for environmental impact assessment and mitigation measures, and 400 linear meters of 300mm mortared stone channel. The total project bid must be submitted in both words and dollar figures and signed. The project bid schedule is structured to ensure that all costs are accounted for and that the total project bid is accurate and complete.
