Abstract
The project involves the construction of a trapezoidal drainage channel, complete with various components, including excavation, demolition of structures, bedding material, mortared stone channel lining, and slope stabilization. The project specifications outline the requirements for each component, including the unit of measure, revised quantities, unit cost in US dollars, and total cost in US dollars. The bid schedule is structured into several sections, including line items with quantities, unit prices, and line item costs. Offerors are required to submit line item unit costs in both words and dollar figures, as well as line item project costs in dollar figures. The offerors must also carry the total costs forward and submit the total bid in both words and dollar figures, signed. The bid schedule includes a total of 14 line items, with the majority related to the construction of the drainage channel. The project requires the construction of a trapezoidal drainage channel, complete and in place, with a total length of 1,680 linear feet. The channel will be constructed using various materials, including excavation, demolition of structures, bedding material, mortared stone channel lining, and slope stabilization. The project also includes the demolition of existing headwalls and culverts, as well as the construction of new vehicle access points across the channel. The bid schedule includes a total of 14 line items, with the majority related to the construction of the drainage channel. The line items include excavation to 1.5 feet below finished channel grade, demolition of structures within the channel, bedding material, mortared stone channel lining, slope stabilization, demolition of vehicle access within the channel, and construction of vehicle access across the channel. The project also includes the demolition of existing headwalls and culverts, as well as the construction of new drainage culverts, including headwalls and bypass structures. The project requires the offerors to submit a total bid, written in words and dollar figures, and signed. The total bid includes the cost of all materials and labor, including excavation, demolition, bedding material, mortared stone channel lining, slope stabilization, and other incidental items necessary to complete the project. The project specifications outline the requirements for each component, including the unit of measure, revised quantities, unit cost in US dollars, and total cost in US dollars.
