The Feed the Future Tanzania Land Tenure Assistance (LTA) program conducted three live radio programs on BOMBA FM in Mbeya region and NURU and Ebony FM in Iringa region on women's land rights and their participation in leadership positions.

Abstract
The programs aimed to raise awareness and promote discussion on the importance of women's land rights and their role in decision-making processes. In June 2019, LTA staff conducted a series of meetings and workshops with various stakeholders, including Regional and District Land Officials, Technical Register Under Social Tenure (TRUST) officials, Village Representatives, and Residents. The meetings focused on updating stakeholders on the program's progress, discussing implementation challenges, and seeking feedback on the program's activities. The program's field operations and stakeholder participation continued in June 2019, with activities conducted in various villages across Mbeya and Iringa regions. In Mbeya, activities included village boundary rectification, village registry upgrades, and dispute resolution. In Iringa, activities included the implementation of Detailed Village Settlement Plans (DVSPs), Village Land Use Plans, and Village Land Certificates. The program's integration of cross-cutting issues and USAID forward priorities continued in June 2019, with a focus on women's empowerment, youth engagement, and pastoralist communities. The program's implementation challenges and administration and management issues were also addressed in June 2019, with a focus on monitoring and evaluation. The program's activity trackers for Phase 1 and Phase 2 villages in Iringa and Mbeya target villages were updated in June 2019. The trackers showed progress in the implementation of various activities, including village boundary rectification, village registry upgrades, and dispute resolution. The program's training activities also continued in June 2019, with a focus on training village leaders, parasurveyors, and adjudicators on land tenure and management issues. The program's monitoring and evaluation efforts continued in June 2019, with a focus on tracking progress, identifying challenges, and making adjustments to the program's implementation plan. The program's activity trackers and other monitoring and evaluation tools were used to track progress and identify areas for improvement. The program's geographic focus was on Mbeya and Iringa regions in Tanzania, with a focus on improving land tenure and management practices among rural communities. The program's timeframes were June 2019, with a focus on implementing various activities and achieving program objectives.
