The Integrated HIV/AIDS Project in Haut Katanga and Lualaba (IHAP-HK/L) provided a comprehensive package of HIV testing, care, and treatment services to 153 facilities, 106 in Haut Katanga and 47 in Lualaba, from October 2017 through September 2018.

Abstract
A total of 245,855 individuals were tested, with 97% (238,439) tested at the facility level and 3% (7,416) at the community level. IHAP-HK/L achieved 75% of the project's FY18 target for facility testing and 71% of the FY18 target for community testing. Among the 245,855 individuals tested, 10,824 tested HIV positive, representing a yield of 4.4%. Facility-level yield was 4.4% (10,434 identified HIV positive of 238,439 tested), and community-level yield was 5.3% (390 identified HIV positive of 7,416 tested). IHAP-HK/L's achievement against the United States Agency for International Development (USAID)-assigned target for HTS_TST_Pos (13,933) was 75%, with 90% achievement against the FY18 target in Lualaba and 68% achievement in Haut Katanga. The majority of individuals identified as HIV positive, 65%, were in Haut Katanga, while 35% were in Lualaba. IHAP-HK/L's testing efforts were more concentrated in Haut Katanga, where 68% of the total individuals tested were from, compared to Lualaba, where 32% of the total individuals tested were from. However, the project achieved 98% of the FY18 target in Lualaba and 71% of the FY18 target in Haut Katanga. IHAP-HK/L's testing efforts were successful in identifying individuals living with HIV/AIDS, with a yield of 4.4% among those tested. The project's achievement against the USAID-assigned target for HTS_TST_Pos was 75%, indicating a significant contribution to the fight against HIV/AIDS in Haut Katanga and Lualaba. The project's focus on comprehensive HIV testing, care, and treatment services has been instrumental in improving the health outcomes of individuals living with HIV/AIDS in Haut Katanga and Lualaba. IHAP-HK/L's efforts have been successful in increasing access to HIV testing, care, and treatment services, particularly in Haut Katanga, where the majority of individuals identified as HIV positive reside. IHAP-HK/L's testing efforts have also been successful in identifying individuals living with HIV/AIDS in Lualaba, where the project achieved 98% of the FY18 target. The project's achievement in Lualaba is a testament to the effectiveness of IHAP-HK/L's testing efforts in identifying individuals living with HIV/AIDS in this region.
