Abstract
The directory aims to provide local communities with the information they need to access the array of actors, structures, and government services available in their province. The directory includes sections on Chaghcharan and Shahrak districts, and it is designed to be an easily accessible format for people to look for, find, and receive necessary services. The data for the Service Directory was collected via desk and field research, involving relevant local entities, including the Directorate of Rural and Rural Development (DRRD), government departments, UN services, local and international NGOs, and community members and leaders. Field research was conducted in Chaghcharan and Shahrak, including with service providers, DDA and CDC members. Research was also undertaken using reliable online sources, such as Ministry websites and real-world research, meetings, and interviews. The Service Directory has been cross-checked with the organizations represented to verify the data. The directory is organized into various sections, including Administration Reform, Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock, Civil Society, Communications and Technology, Counter Narcotics, Education, Energy and Water, Environmental Services, Financial/Economic Services, Government of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Haj and Religious Affairs, Health and Nutrition, Justice, Legal, and Human Rights, Labor, Social Affairs, Martyrs, and Disabled, Local Governance, Peace and Reintegration, Police and Security, Public Works, Refugees, Rural Development, Standardization and Quality Assurance, Tribal and Ethnic Affairs, Transportation and Civil Aviation, UN Services, Urban Development, and Women's Services. The directory provides a list of services, including government agencies, NGOs, media, donors, and international actors, listed in alphabetical order. However, in each section, the first preference is given to the most relevant government line department, irrespective of alphabetical order. The directory also includes a note that the information is based on contributions from services working in Chaghcharan and Shahrak, and that the directory will be updated on a regular basis. The directory is designed to be used effectively by following a few simple steps. First, decide on the subject of your search. Then, look in the Table of Contents for broad categories that might include the subject of your search. Next, look in more than one place, such as a Department of Health, which might be under Health and Government departments. Finally, use the directory to find the necessary services and contact information. The Ghor Service Directory is a valuable resource for local communities in Ghor Province, providing them with the information they need to access the array of actors, structures, and government services available in their province. The directory is designed to be an easily accessible format for people to look for, find, and receive necessary services, and it will be updated on a regular basis to ensure that the information remains accurate and up-to-date.
