Abstract
The land was initially very green and abundant with food, supporting the diverse animal population. Hare and Hyena were among the inhabitants of this land, which also included other animals such as Giraffe, Buffalo, Antelope, and Bird. A meeting was called by King Lion, who informed the animals that there would be no rain in the next year. The animals initially had sufficient food for several months, but as the land became increasingly hot and dry, water scarcity and food shortages became severe. Eventually, many animals, including Antelope, Giraffe, Lion, Bird, and Buffalo, left their home in search of better living conditions. Hare and Hyena, however, chose to stay behind in the dry land. Hare, being a hardworking individual, took charge of finding and preparing food for the two of them. In contrast, Hyena was lazy and relied on Hare to provide for her. Hyena's greed and lack of initiative led her to trick Hare into giving her food, which she would then eat while Hare was away. This pattern of behavior continued for some time, with Hare working hard to prepare food and Hyena eating it without contributing to the effort. However, Hare eventually decided to turn the tables on Hyena by mixing stones into the food. When Hyena ate the food and experienced severe stomach pain, she realized the error of her ways and agreed to work together with Hare. The story highlights the importance of cooperation and mutual effort in achieving common goals. By working together, Hare and Hyena were able to survive the difficult conditions in the dry land. The story also emphasizes the value of hard work and initiative, as Hare's efforts were instrumental in keeping them both alive.
