Abstract
The report aims to inform about the process for collecting information on aspects of the components within the framework of the COVID-19 pandemic regarding basic needs, family members who left the country, the entrepreneurial experience of adults, and care to children and adolescents. The survey was applied to a total of 4,066 people, representing beneficiary households of the OFDA I cash transfer program implemented by World Vision Peru and CARE PERU. The survey was administered to representatives of beneficiary households, with respondents being the head of household, the spouses of the head of household, or an adult household member who was able to answer questions about the project context and processes. The survey collected information on the basic needs of beneficiary families, including food, housing, hygiene, and health care costs. The results show that 73.81% of households reported having met "Some basic needs", followed by 16.65% as "Most basic needs", while 2.51% and 7.03% responded that they have met "All basic needs" and "None of basic needs" respectively. The survey also collected information on individuals and family members who left the country, with 35 respondents stating that they had family members who had left Peru since they received the last transfer. The majority of respondents (71.43%) stated that it was 1 family member that left the country, while 17.14% stated that 2 family members left the country. In terms of age, 96% of respondents were within the 18-49 age group, while 4% were 50 years old or older. The survey also collected information on the entrepreneurial experience of adults, with 93.7% of respondents reporting having met their food needs, 42.9% having met their need for housing, and 42.8% and 42.9% having met water and sanitation needs. The report aims to inform about the process for collecting information on aspects of the components within the framework of the COVID-19 pandemic, and to provide insights into the needs and experiences of Venezuelan migrants in Peru. The information and graphs in this document are the result of the systematization of the data collected through the online survey by the Project's MEAL team. The survey was conducted between July 1 and September 30, 2020, and was administered to representatives of beneficiary households. The data recorded in the Google form were then processed in Excel spreadsheets, which allowed the generation of descriptive statistics such as percentages and frequencies for analysis and for the results presented in this report. The MEAL and OFDA II Operations teams were in charge of this exercise and complied with the monitoring requirements, aiming to obtain information from beneficiaries and community members to improve service delivery. The report aims to provide insights into the needs and experiences of Venezuelan migrants in Peru, and to inform about the process for collecting information on aspects of the components within the framework of the COVID-19 pandemic.
