Abstract
The center will be located on the fourth floor of the Chamber of Commerce, occupying a total area of approximately 500 square meters. The center will offer a range of training programs, including English language skills, computer skills, and business courses. The English language skills program will include elementary English language skills training, comprehensive English language skills, conversation course, and business English training. The computer skills program will include international computer driving license (ICDL) and ICDL - advanced level. The business courses will cover accounting, financial analysis, business administration, business development, sales, and other related topics. The target market segments for the center's training programs include current students and fresh graduates of major colleges and universities in Irbid, as well as employees at mid and top management levels at companies and institutions operating in the various productive sectors in Irbid. The center aims to deliver a minimum of 136 training courses during the first three years of its inception, with an average of 45 courses per year. The center also aims to train a minimum of 1965 trainees during the first three years, with an average of 655 trainees per year. The anticipated revenues for the center are JOD 148,400 by the end of the first three years, with a net profit margin of 45% by the end of 2011. The center's goals and objectives are closely aligned with the requirements of the members and local businesses, and the envisaged services gap. The center's vision is to become one of the top three training centers renowned for excellence and meeting the training needs associated with the development of skills and building capacity of local human resources in Irbid's labor market. The center's mission is to build the capacity of local human resources and upgrade their skills to enhance their participation in improving the competitiveness of the commercial sector in Irbid. The center's strategic intent is to link the training programs with the training needs of the commercial sector in the Governorate, provide an exceptional training environment, cooperate effectively with the commercial sector, and aim at achieving continuous improvement in all aspects of training. The center's goals include enhancing the productivity of the commercial services sector, supporting the formation of mutually beneficial linkages between the private, public, and academic sectors, and enhancing the institutional capacities of the Chamber and increasing its business development and community outreach services.
