Abstract
The initiative aimed to promote the development of sustainable agriculture practices and improve the livelihoods of rural communities. The consultant's report highlights the key activities and achievements of the initiative, which included the development of organizational strengthening plans for six associations of farmers. The plans focused on reactivating the organizations, developing pending organizational processes, and obtaining the necessary documentation, including registration with the Chamber of Commerce and the DIAN (National Tax and Customs Directorate). The report highlights the progress made by each association, including the Asociación de Pequeños Agricultores Desplazados de la Pujana No. 1 (APADPP), which revised its documentation and updated its statutes. The association also held an assembly to discuss pending issues and prepared the necessary documents for registration with the DIAN and opening a bank account. The report also mentions the Asociación Pequeños Productores Agropecuarios de Media Luna (ASOPROML), which held an assembly to update its statutes and prepared the necessary documents for registration with the DIAN and opening a bank account. The association also created a committee for production and commercialization, which included maintaining the convites worked on with Patrimonio Natural. The report highlights the challenges faced by some associations, including the Asociación de Pequeños Agropecuarios de Nuevo México (APPANM), which was unable to advance due to the secretary's busy schedule and lack of accompaniment in designing actas for bank account opening. The report also mentions the Asociación de Actores Sociales Agropecuarios del Núcleo 8 Páramo, Loro y Pujana (ASOAGRO), which was unable to advance due to the president's lack of interest in sharing information about the organization and disagreement with the use of the participatory methodology. The report concludes by highlighting the need for continued accompaniment and support for the associations, including the provision of a contador to verify their situation with the DIAN and prepare their tax returns for 2016. The report also emphasizes the importance of maintaining a participatory approach and involving all stakeholders in the decision-making process. The initiative's achievements are reflected in the progress made by the associations, which have been able to update their statutes, prepare necessary documents, and take steps towards registration with the DIAN and opening bank accounts. However, the report also highlights the challenges and limitations faced by some associations, which require continued accompaniment and support to achieve their goals.
