2016 · 80 pages

Abstract
The module is designed to provide defensores públicos with a comprehensive understanding of criminology and its application in the defense of clients. The module is divided into three chapters. The first chapter provides an introduction to criminology, including its basic concepts, methodology, and relationship with the penal code. It also explores the different schools of criminology and their approaches to understanding crime. The chapter concludes with an analysis of the policy implications of criminology. The second chapter focuses on the victim in the delictive act, examining the concepts of victimology, victimization, and victimhood. It also explores the bio-psychosocial factors that contribute to victim behavior and the role of victimodogmatics in understanding victim behavior. The chapter concludes with an analysis of victimogenesis, the process by which victims become involved in the delictive act. The third chapter provides an analysis of new trends in criminology that are operating in the penal code. It examines the concept of the "society of risk" and the penal code of risk, as well as the actuarial approach to criminology. It also explores the ecological approach of the Chicago School and the humanist approach to defense. The chapter concludes with an analysis of the expansionist approach to the penal code and the symbolic approach to crime. Throughout the module, the authors emphasize the importance of understanding criminology in the context of the penal code and its application in the defense of clients. They also highlight the need for defensores públicos to be aware of new trends in criminology and their implications for the defense of clients. The module is designed to be a basic text for defensores públicos, providing them with a comprehensive understanding of criminology and its application in the defense of clients. It is intended to be a starting point for further study and exploration of the topics covered. The module is the result of a collaborative effort between the IDPP and the Unidad de Formación y Capacitación (UNIFOCADEP). The authors of the module include M.A. Hugo Roberto Saavedra, M.Sc. Idonaldo Arevael Fuentes, and Dra. María Eugenia Sandoval de Paz, among others. The module is divided into several sections, including an introduction, a chapter on criminology, a chapter on the victim in the delictive act, and a chapter on new trends in criminology. Each section is designed to provide defensores públicos with a comprehensive understanding of the topic and its application in the defense of clients. The module includes several features, including a bibliography, a list of references, and a list of suggested readings. It also includes several exercises and activities designed to help defensores públicos apply the concepts and principles covered in the module to real-world cases. Overall, the module on "La Criminología y la Defensa Técnica Penal" is a comprehensive resource for defensores públicos who want to gain a deeper understanding of criminology and its application in the defense of clients. It provides a thorough introduction to the subject and its application in the penal code, as well as a comprehensive analysis of new trends in criminology and their implications for the defense of clients.
