Abstract
The project was implemented by the UPTD Pengelolaan Kawasan Konservasi Perairan (KKP) Raja Ampat from September 2018 to December 2018, with a total budget of IDR 2,279,054,000. The project focused on seven marine conservation areas in Raja Ampat, including Ayau-Asia, Selat Dampier, Teluk Mayalibit, Misool, Kofiau, Wayag-Sayang, and Kepulauan Pam. The project's objectives included protecting the marine conservation areas from destructive fishing practices, enforcing zonation regulations, empowering local communities and fishermen, monitoring marine resources, and evaluating the effectiveness of the conservation efforts. The project's activities included patrolling the marine conservation areas, conducting monitoring and evaluation, and providing training and capacity building for the project team and local communities. The project also aimed to improve the operational capacity of the UPTD KKP Raja Ampat, including the maintenance and repair of speedboats and generators, and the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for patrolling and monitoring.
