Limited scope grant project agreement between the United States of America, acting through the Agency for International Development (AID) and the International Rice Research Institute (IRRI) (grantee)

IRRI will survey affected areas to identify farmers who are low-income and in need of agricultural assistance, determine the amount and type of seeds for each target beneficiary, and provide TA to the beneficiaries as well through the distribution of 1,000 copies of "A Farmer"s Primer on Growing Rice" and "Field Problems of Tropical Rice," (both in the Bicol edition). IRRI will also document information on the progress of the project for distribution locally through a news release and a TV film. The project will be implemented in coordination with the Philippine Department of Agriculture and the Philippine National Rice Research Institute (PHILRICE).
