Abstract
The program aims to improve the lives of youth in Pathway 2. The program is divided into several modules, with Module 5 focusing on finding and keeping work. The module is designed to equip participants with the skills and knowledge necessary to secure employment and maintain a successful work-life balance. The module consists of three sessions, with a total duration of 18 hours and 35 minutes. Session 1: Introduction to Civic Engagement is the first session of Module 5, which covers the basics of civic engagement and how participants can get involved. The session includes activities such as introductory activities, connecting with the community, and prioritizing needs. The session also covers the importance of community mapping and identifying existing resources and opportunities. Session 2: Mapping Workplaces and Searching for a Job is the second session of Module 5, which focuses on finding employment opportunities. The session includes activities such as approaching workplaces, community mapping, and finding employment information. Participants also learn how to write a basic CV and application letter, and how to apply interviewing techniques in the workplace. Session 3: Appropriate Workplace Behaviors and Attitudes is the final session of Module 5, which covers the importance of maintaining a positive attitude and behavior in the workplace. The session includes activities such as time management, balancing work and personal life, and demonstrating appropriate workplace behavior and attitudes. Throughout the module, participants are required to complete various written tasks, including a pre-module self-assessment, worksheets, and a post-module self-assessment. The module also includes handouts and trainer tools to support the learning process.
