Abstract
The project is part of the USAID mission's Local Construction Program (LCP), which focuses on rehabilitating and constructing roads, water, wastewater, and buildings. The rehabilitation of the Qabatya Main Road involves several key components, including the reconstruction of a four-lane road along with access roads, construction of concrete retaining walls and stonewalls, construction of sidewalks and median islands, and the supply and installation of lighting poles, a drainage system, crossing pipe culverts, and other infrastructure. The project is being implemented by Technical Group Company for General Contracting (TGC) under Contract No. AID-294-I-13-00007 and Task Order No. AID-294-TO-17-00004. The project team includes key personnel such as the Chief Engineer, Contracts Engineer, and Construction Management Contractor (AECOM). The project is subject to various safety and environmental regulations, including the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) and the Ministry of Public Works and Housing (MoPWH) guidelines.
