Monthly Progress Report-MPR-17-00004- Qabatya Main Road Project – March 2018

The project is part of the USAID's Local Construction Program (LCP), which focuses on rehabilitating and constructing roads, water, wastewater, and buildings. The Qabatya Main Road reconstruction involves the rehabilitation of approximately 1.2 kilometers of a four-lane road, including access roads, concrete retaining walls, stonewalls, sidewalks, median islands, lighting poles, drainage systems, manholes, concrete pipes, crossing pipe culverts, and water pipelines. The project aims to facilitate the movement of trade and people across the Southern Jenin District. Key personnel involved in the project include the Project Manager, Resident Engineers, and Safety & Environmental Compliance Officer. The project's safety plan and measures are in place, with regular safety meetings and accident status monitoring. Traffic control measures are also implemented to ensure the safety of workers and the public. The project's construction risk management plan is in place, with regular monitoring and mitigation of potential risks. Community outreach and engagement are also essential components of the project, with a focus on gender action plan progress and meeting with local stakeholders. The project's progress and scheduling are closely monitored, with regular site visits and material deliveries. The project's quality control status is also closely monitored, with regular inspections and testing of materials and equipment. Non-compliance reports are documented and addressed promptly, and quality control/quality assurance test results are regularly submitted. The project's progress payments are also tracked, with regular payments made to contractors and suppliers. The Qabatya Main Road Project is a critical infrastructure development effort that aims to improve the lives of Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza region. The project's reconstruction of the Qabatya Main Road will facilitate the movement of trade and people, enhancing economic growth and development in the region.
