Abstract
The project is part of the USAID's Local Construction Program (LCP), which focuses on rehabilitating and constructing roads, water, wastewater, and buildings. The program's objective is to enhance the Palestinian economy by providing access to basic infrastructure and services. The Qabatya Main Road reconstruction involves the rehabilitation of approximately 1.2 kilometers of a four-lane road, including access roads, concrete retaining walls, stonewalls, sidewalks, median islands, lighting poles, drainage systems, manholes, concrete pipes, crossing pipe culverts, and water pipelines. The project aims to facilitate the movement of trade and people across the Southern Jenin District. Key personnel involved in the project include the Project Manager, Resident Engineers, and Safety & Environmental Compliance Officer. The project is being implemented by Technical Group Company for General Contracting (TGC) under the supervision of the USAID mission. The project's timeline and milestones are being monitored through regular meetings and site visits. Safety measures are in place to ensure the well-being of workers and the public. The project has a Safety Plan and conducts regular safety meetings to address potential hazards. The Safety Tool Box Log and Notice of Unsafe Conditions log are maintained to track safety incidents and near-misses. The project has also implemented a Construction Risk Management Plan to mitigate potential risks. The project's progress is being tracked through various indicators, including the completion of activities, material delivery, and equipment on site. The project has made significant progress in the first month, with over 20% of the work completed. The planned activities for the next month include the continuation of road reconstruction, drainage system installation, and water pipeline supply. The project's quality control status is being monitored through regular inspections and testing. The project has received several non-compliance notices, which are being addressed through corrective actions. The project's quality assurance and quality control programs are being implemented to ensure that the work meets the required standards. The project's community outreach and gender action plan progress are also being monitored. The project has established a community outreach program to engage with local stakeholders and ensure that the project's benefits are shared equitably among all community members. The project's gender action plan aims to promote gender equality and ensure that women's needs are addressed throughout the project. The project's financial status is being monitored through regular payments and change order requests. The project has received several payments from the USAID mission, and change order requests are being processed to address any variations in the project scope. The project's contract modifications are being implemented to ensure that the project is completed within the agreed-upon timeframe and budget. The project's obstacles and challenges are being addressed through regular meetings and coordination activities. The project has encountered several challenges, including weather-related delays and equipment shortages. The project's team is working to mitigate these challenges and ensure that the project is completed on time. The project's progress photos are being maintained to track the project's progress. The project's annexes, including the progress S-curve, safety tool box log, notice of unsafe conditions log, meetings and coordination activities log, site visits log, material and equipment log, update CPM schedule, GEO-MIS data collection sheets, site memorandum log, non-compliance report log, inspection request log, testing reports log, submittals log, transmittals log, request for information log, progress payments log, change order request, and contract modifications, are being maintained to provide a comprehensive record of the project's progress.
