Abstract
The project is part of the USAID Mission Infrastructure Needs Program II (INP II), which focuses on the rehabilitation and construction of roads, schools, water, and wastewater projects to improve Palestinians' access to basic infrastructure and services. The project's objective is to connect the existing Kadim pipeline to the eight villages, construct approximately 24 km of transmission pipelines with bulk filling stations, build a booster pumping station, and a reservoir. The project elements include the construction of new facilities, such as the Faqqua and Jalbun Booster Station and the Faqqua Reservoir, as well as the construction of new transmission mains, including the Kadim connection to Beit Qad and Wadi Al Dabi. The project's scope of work is defined in the Statement of Work (SOW), which outlines the project's objectives, deliverables, and timelines. The project's timeline is critical, as the villages currently rely on purchasing water from tankers or private wells, which is not a sustainable solution. The project's implementation is being carried out by The Morganti Group, Inc., under the supervision of the USAID Mission. The project team is led by the Task Order Manager, Moh'd El Wahsh, and includes a team of experts in construction management, quality control, safety, and environmental compliance. The project's safety record is a top priority, and the project team is committed to ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel involved in the project. The project team is also committed to environmental compliance and has implemented measures to minimize the project's environmental impact. The project's progress is being monitored and reported on a monthly basis, with the latest report indicating that the project is on track to meet its deadlines. The report highlights the project's achievements, challenges, and lessons learned, and provides an update on the project's status. The project's geographic focus is on the eight villages in the northeast part of the Jenin Governorate, which are currently without a reliable water supply system. The project's implementation is expected to have a significant impact on the lives of the villagers, who will have access to a safe and reliable water supply for the first time. The project's timeframes are critical, with the project scheduled to be completed within a specific timeframe. The project team is working closely with the USAID Mission and other stakeholders to ensure that the project is completed on time and within budget. The project's recommendations are based on the project's findings and lessons learned. The project team recommends that the USAID Mission and other stakeholders continue to support the project and provide the necessary resources to ensure its successful completion.
