The Architect-Engineer Independent Quality Assurance and Milestone Certification Services for USAID's Federally Administered Tribal Areas Infrastructure and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Reconstruction Programs (A-E FIP KPRP) began in 2018 with the objective of providing infrastructure development and reconstruction services in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) regions of Pakistan.

Abstract
The project is funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and is implemented by CDM International, Inc. in association with National Development Consultants (Pvt.) Ltd. and UNICON Consulting Services (Pvt.) Ltd. The project focuses on two main components: the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Reconstruction Program (KPRP) and the Federally Administered Tribal Areas Infrastructure Program (FIP). The KPRP aims to improve the living conditions of the people in KPK by providing infrastructure development services, including roads, buildings, and water supply systems. The FIP, on the other hand, focuses on providing infrastructure development services in the FATA region, including roads, buildings, and water supply systems. As of May 2021, the project has made significant progress in both components. In the KPRP, the project has achieved 95% completion of the milestones, with the remaining 5% expected to be completed by the end of the project. The project has also made significant progress in the FIP, with 85% completion of the milestones. The project has also conducted regular field visits to monitor the progress of the project and ensure that the quality of the work meets the required standards. The project has also made significant progress in terms of financial statistics and trends. As of May 2021, the project has spent 75% of the allocated funds, with the remaining 25% expected to be spent by the end of the project. The project has also conducted regular stakeholder meetings and coordination to ensure that the project is aligned with the needs and expectations of the stakeholders. In terms of design QA activities, the project has conducted regular design reviews and testing to ensure that the designs meet the required standards. The project has also conducted regular environmental compliance reporting to ensure that the project is aligned with the environmental regulations and standards. The project has also made significant progress in terms of gender reporting. As of May 2021, the project has achieved 30% participation of women in the design and construction activities, with the remaining 70% expected to be achieved by the end of the project. The project has also conducted regular field visits to monitor the progress of the project and ensure that the quality of the work meets the required standards.
