Abstract
The project is a collaborative effort between CDM International Inc. and National Development Consultants (Pvt.) Ltd. and UNICON Consulting Services (Pvt.) Ltd. The project's primary objective is to provide Architect-Engineer Independent Quality Assurance and Milestone Certification Services for USAID's FATA Infrastructure and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Reconstruction Programs. The project is divided into two main components: the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Reconstruction Program (KPRP) and the FATA Infrastructure Program (FIP). The KPRP focuses on rebuilding and upgrading infrastructure in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while the FIP aims to improve infrastructure in FATA. As of October 2021, the project has made significant progress in both components. In the KPRP, the project has achieved 95% completion of the design review activities, with 100% completion of the building sector. The project has also conducted 100% of the field visits and quality assurance testing in the building sector. In the FIP, the project has achieved 90% completion of the design review activities, with 80% completion of the road sector and 70% completion of the MEP sector. The project has also made significant progress in terms of financial statistics and trends. As of October 2021, the project has expended $10.5 million, with a total budget of $25 million. The project has also conducted regular stakeholder meetings and coordination with the government and other stakeholders. In terms of environmental compliance, the project has conducted regular field visits and quality assurance testing to ensure compliance with environmental regulations. The project has also conducted a review of the Environmental Due Diligence (EDD) and Environmental Management and Monitoring Plan (EMMP) to ensure that the project is environmentally sustainable. The project has also made significant progress in terms of gender reporting. The project has also conducted a review of the gender action plan to ensure that the project is meeting its gender-related objectives.
