Abstract
The project is a collaborative effort between USAID, CDM International Inc., National Development Consultants, and UNICON Consulting Services. The project's scope of work includes providing architect-engineer services for the design and construction of infrastructure projects in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa region. The project is divided into several components, including the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Reconstruction Program (KPRP), the FATA Infrastructure Program (FIP), and the Municipal Services Program Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (MSPKP). As of January 2023, the project has made significant progress in achieving its milestones. In the KPRP component, 12 out of 15 planned infrastructure projects have been completed, with a total value of $23.4 million. The FIP component has also made progress, with 10 out of 15 planned projects completed, valued at $21.5 million. The project has also conducted field visits to monitor the progress of infrastructure projects. In January 2023, a total of 25 field visits were conducted, covering all three components of the project. The field visits revealed that the project is on track to meet its milestones, with some minor issues and recommendations identified. Financial statistics and trends for the project as of January 2023 show that the total expenditure for the project is $44.9 million, with a total value of completed projects amounting to $44.9 million. The project has also conducted periodic testing of materials, with results showing that all materials meet the required standards. The project has also conducted design review activities, with a total of 15 design reviews completed as of January 2023. The design reviews have identified some minor issues and recommendations, which have been addressed by the project team. In terms of environmental compliance, the project has conducted a review of the Environmental Due Diligence (EDD) and Environmental Management and Monitoring Plan (EMMP). The review revealed that the project is in compliance with all environmental regulations and standards. Overall, the project is making good progress in achieving its milestones and meeting its objectives. However, some minor issues and recommendations have been identified, which will be addressed by the project team.
