Monthly Progress Report No. 35: Architect-Engineer Independent Quality Assurance and Milestone Certification Services for USAID’s FATA Infrastructure Program and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Reconstruction Program

The project is a collaborative effort between CDM International Inc. and National Development Consultants (Pvt.) Ltd. and UNICON Consulting Services (Pvt.) Ltd. (UNICON). The project is divided into several components, including the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Reconstruction Program, the FATA Infrastructure Program, and the Municipal Services Program Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Reconstruction Program is a key component of the project, with a focus on rebuilding and restoring infrastructure in the region. As of February 2023, the program has made significant progress, with 85% of milestones achieved. Financial statistics and trends indicate a steady increase in expenditures, with a total of $10.5 million spent on the program as of February 2023. The FATA Infrastructure Program is another critical component of the project, with a focus on improving infrastructure in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) of Pakistan. As of February 2023, the program has achieved 70% of its milestones, with a total of $8.2 million spent on the program. Field visits and stakeholder meetings have been conducted regularly to ensure that the program is on track and that any issues are addressed promptly. The Municipal Services Program Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is a component of the project that focuses on improving municipal services in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa region. As of February 2023, the program has achieved 80% of its milestones, with a total of $6.5 million spent on the program. Field visits and stakeholder meetings have been conducted regularly to ensure that the program is on track and that any issues are addressed promptly. Design review activities and environmental compliance reporting are also critical components of the project. As of February 2023, design review activities have been conducted for all projects, and environmental compliance reporting has been submitted for all projects. Recommendations have been made to improve the project's environmental compliance and to ensure that all projects meet the required standards. Overall, the A-E FIP KPRP project has made significant progress in improving infrastructure in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa region of Pakistan.
