Abstract
The project was implemented by International Resources Group for USAID/Ukraine. Key activities included improving the clean energy regulatory and legislative enabling environment, promoting investment in clean energy technologies and applications, capacity building and dissemination, and enhancing capacity for the Government of Ukraine in low emissions development strategies. During the sixth quarter of 2015, significant progress was made in improving the clean energy regulatory and legislative enabling environment. The project team worked closely with the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade to develop and implement new regulations and policies that support the development of clean energy technologies. The team also provided training and technical assistance to government officials and other stakeholders to ensure a smooth transition to the new regulatory framework. The project also made significant progress in promoting investment in clean energy technologies and applications. The team worked with private sector companies to develop and implement energy efficiency projects in various sectors, including buildings and industry. The team also provided technical assistance to government officials to develop and implement policies and regulations that support the development of clean energy technologies. Capacity building and dissemination were also key activities of the project. The team provided training and technical assistance to government officials, private sector companies, and other stakeholders to build their capacity in clean energy technologies and policies. The team also disseminated information and best practices to a wider audience through various channels, including workshops, conferences, and publications. The project also made significant progress in enhancing capacity for the Government of Ukraine in low emissions development strategies.
