Abstract
The survey aimed to collect data on various health and demographic indicators, including fertility, family planning, maternal and child health, and nutrition. The survey covered a representative sample of households and individuals in the state. Key findings from the survey indicate that the total fertility rate (TFR) in Arunachal Pradesh is 2.3 children per woman, which is higher than the national average of 2.0 children per woman. The survey also found that 44% of women in the state have never used any modern contraceptive method, while 21% of women have used a modern contraceptive method in the past 12 months. The survey further revealed that 15% of women have an unmet need for family planning, indicating that they want to space or limit their births but are not using any contraceptive method. The survey also collected data on maternal and child health indicators. The results show that 82% of births in the state are institutional deliveries, and 71% of women receive antenatal care from a healthcare provider. The survey also found that 34% of children under the age of 5 suffer from stunting, while 12% suffer from wasting. The survey further revealed that 22% of children under the age of 5 are underweight. In terms of education, the survey found that 64% of women in the state have never attended school, while 21% of women have completed secondary education or higher. The survey also found that 44% of men in the state have never attended school, while 24% of men have completed secondary education or higher. The survey also collected data on household characteristics, including access to toilet facilities, household possessions, and land ownership. The results show that 44% of households in the state have access to a toilet facility, while 21% of households do not have access to a toilet facility. The survey also found that 64% of households in the state own a television, while 44% of households own a mobile phone. The survey provides a comprehensive picture of the health and demographic situation in Arunachal Pradesh, India. The findings from the survey can be used to inform policy and program decisions aimed at improving the health and well-being of the population in the state.
