Abstract
The program targets all households and farmers, with a focus on vulnerable households and women's groups. Two Kebeles have been designated as pilot areas, with two Farmer Training Centers (FTC) established to provide training to farmers. The program aims to improve nutrition and livelihoods through a range of interventions. The initiative focuses on homestead gardening and livestock production, with a goal of increasing income and improving nutrition. Training is provided to Agricultural Extension Workers (AEWs) and teachers, with a focus on technical assistance, behavior change communication (BCC), and experience sharing. The program also includes cooking demonstrations and cooking demonstrations are conducted by AEWs and Health Extension Workers (HEWs). Homestead gardening and livestock production are key components of the program, with a focus on providing seeds, finance, and tools to farmers. Business and skill training is also provided, with a focus on linking farmers to markets and savings markets.
