Grant is provided under the Earthquake Reconstruction project (5190333) in El Salvador to Cooperative Housing Foundation (CHF) to provide housing for low-income former residents of rental housing in San Salvador, whose homes were damaged by the 1986 earthquake.

Abstract
CHF will construct an estimated 450 apartments/houses at 15 centrally located sites, and will promote/facilitate mortgage loans, which will be channeled through savings and loan institutions via the Financiera Nacional de la Vivienda.
