2018 · 139 pages

Abstract
The program's objective was to create a generic framework for the portal, which would facilitate the deployment of solar rooftop systems in India. The portal was designed to cater to various stakeholders, including residential and non-residential consumers, distribution companies, and banks. The proposed process and business requirements for the portal involved several key functionalities, including registration, application submission, and subsidy disbursement. The registration process required consumers to provide detailed information, including their contact and demographic details. The application submission process involved the submission of various documents, including proof of identity, address, and income. The subsidy disbursement process involved the verification of submitted documents and the issuance of an in-principle sanction letter. The system architecture for the portal was designed to ensure scalability and reliability. The portal would be hosted on a cloud-based infrastructure, with a robust hardware and software setup. The portal would also have a user-friendly interface, with clear instructions and guidelines for users. The system would be designed to handle a large volume of transactions, with multiple layers of security to prevent unauthorized access. The proposed framework for the portal was developed in consultation with various stakeholders, including distribution companies, banks, and consumer associations. The framework was designed to address the key challenges faced by consumers, including the lack of awareness about solar rooftop systems and the complexity of the application process. The framework aimed to simplify the application process, reduce the time taken for subsidy disbursement, and increase the adoption of solar rooftop systems in India. The portal would provide various informational functionalities, including publicly accessible information, help-related functionalities, and updates on the portal. The portal would also have a complaint redressal mechanism, which would enable consumers to report any issues or grievances related to the portal. The portal would be designed to provide a seamless user experience, with clear instructions and guidelines for users. The proposed framework for the portal was developed in accordance with the guidelines and regulations of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) and the Andhra Pradesh government. The framework was designed to ensure compliance with the relevant laws and regulations, including the Andhra Pradesh Solar Rooftop Policy. The framework aimed to promote the adoption of solar rooftop systems in India, while ensuring the safety and security of consumers. The development of the unified solar rooftop web portal was a critical step towards promoting the adoption of solar rooftop systems in India. The portal would provide a platform for consumers to access information, apply for subsidies, and track the status of their applications. The portal would also provide a platform for distribution companies and banks to manage their solar rooftop programs and track the performance of their systems. The portal would be a key enabler of the solar rooftop program in India, and would play a critical role in promoting the adoption of renewable energy sources in the country.
