Abstract
The trip was led by Sarah Johnson, Project Director, AIDSTAR-Two, and Alyson, Senior Program Officer, AIDSTAR-Two. The primary objective of the trip was to provide technical assistance to the AIDSTAR-Two/Malawi staff in the planning and delivery of the CSO engagement workshops. The trip involved several key accomplishments, including the planning and facilitation of the re-alignment meeting with prime organizations, engagement meeting with subcontractors of prime organizations, and engagement meeting with 10 new partner organizations. The team also conducted site visits to two CSOs, met with leadership teams and staff at these sites, and observed project activities in a community. Additionally, they developed Memorandums of Understanding for each of the 14 partner organizations and 3 prime partners. The trip also involved several meetings with USAID/Malawi staff, including a meeting with Ndasowa Chitule, Activity Manager, to discuss project progress and operations issues. The team also conducted a one-day TOT (Training of Trainers) on the topic of Effective CSO Governance for AIDSTAR-Two Malawi and six local OD consultants.
