Abstract
foreign policy initiatives. Under this contract, Training Resources Group, Inc. (TRG) has assisted OTI by finding new ways to improve staff education, efficiency, and effectiveness to maximize overall organizational success in country programs. TRG's role for this IQC is to provide inputs and support in the areas of Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E), Professional Development and Training, Knowledge Management (KM), and Outreach. As prime for the program, TRG leads a team of successful partners from the QED Group, LLC (QED), with expertise in M&E, KM, and Outreach; and Forum One, with expertise in web development and Information Technology (IT) applications for KM. TRG and partners have implemented and completed numerous activities under the PDQ III IQC, including Task Orders 1, 2, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 12. Most recently, TRG was awarded with Task Order 12 in September 2015 to continue providing digital media and related technical support services. Task Order 12 began on October 1, 2015, and currently has three ongoing activities. TRG has continued to fulfill OTI's facilitation and training needs in DC and in the field under Task Order 9, which was awarded in October 2014. The Worldwide Management Meeting (WWMM) 2016 was a significant event under Task Order 9. TRG provided a team of facilitators, a Learning Technology Specialist, and administrative support staff to design and implement the WWMM. The event theme, "Fun, Connection, and Inspiration," reflected key aspects of the information generated through data gathering, including a desire to be inspired by OTI's mission and impact, interest in reconnecting with colleagues, and wanting to feel part of a team. The WWMM agenda was designed to showcase organizational accomplishments as well as provide ample opportunities for structured and unstructured connection with colleagues across the organization. The WWMM outcomes included a significant highlight of the participation of five field staff from partner organizations who showcased their programs' successes, approaches, and lessons learned. USAID Administrator Gayle Smith delivered a keynote address, followed by a substantial Q&A session. The agenda also featured two tracks of programmatic and operational breakout sessions. In the post-event evaluation, participants rated the success of the event overall at 4.54 (out of 5), representing an increase of more than 0.30 since last year and the highest since 2010, with 97% of respondents finding it good or excellent. TRG also conducted several other activities under Task Order 9, including Training Skills Building, Strategic Planning for the Middle East Team, Pakistan FATA/KP SRS, Coaching & Facilitation, and OTI Syria Rolling Assessment. These activities aimed to improve OTI staff skills, develop strategic plans, and facilitate assessments and coaching. The outcomes of these activities included increased staff familiarity with program performance management principles, sharper definition of program change, further development of engagement plans, and clarification of M&E efforts.
