Abstract
The project, which began in 1974, has a total estimated value of $52,850. The GOB has agreed to provide the services of one full-time counterpart, estimated to be worth $24,500, and to ensure the active participation of appropriate field personnel during visits and training sessions. The estimated value of the participation of field office personnel is $16,500. Additionally, the GOB will provide one vehicle for the period of visits and training sessions, valued at $43,200, including fuel, maintenance, and other expenses. USAID has agreed to provide up to $12,000 to finance the contract mentioned in Section III.b.(i) of the agreement. The project will focus on improving the administrative capacity of the National Office for Community Development, with a specific emphasis on the preparation of the Field Administration Manuals for each office. The GOB has agreed to provide special provisions, including authorized disbursements to the contractor, which will be made directly by USAID/B based upon approvals by the SNX. The contractor will be responsible for preparing a detailed scope of work, including a description of the initial preparatory work to be done, consultation with appropriate personnel, and the preparation of the Field Administration Manuals.
