The Energy Infrastructure Monitoring Services (EIMS) team has been actively engaged in monitoring and evaluating the progress of the Kurram Tangi Dam Project (KTDP) Stage 1 and the Mangla Dam Rehabilitation Project (MDRP) between October 1, 2023, and December 31, 2023.

Abstract
The team's efforts have been focused on ensuring that the projects are implemented in accordance with the task order requirements. During this reporting quarter, the EIMS inspection team certified five KTDP Stage 1 milestones amounting to U.S. dollars (USD) 1,547,001. The certification of these milestones is a significant achievement, demonstrating the team's commitment to delivering high-quality services. The MDRP team has made notable progress, with Units 5 and 6 operating smoothly. The team has closed 256 out of 317 punch list items, with General Electric (GE) working on completing 42 items and 19 items yet to be addressed. The erection and refurbishment of Units 3 and 4 are progressing, with projected completion dates of June 24, 2024, and July 20, 2024, respectively. A significant development in the MDRP project is the signing of Project Implementation Letter (PIL) 2, Amendment 3, between USAID and the Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) on December 26, 2023. This amendment aims to realign milestones for equipment delivery of Units 9 and 10, facilitating their completion, certification, and payment. The EIMS team has also been actively engaged in monitoring and evaluating the progress of the KTDP Stage 1 project. The team has conducted regular site visits and inspections to ensure that the project is being implemented in accordance with the task order requirements.
