Abstract
Site visits were conducted to monitor work progress and verify completed milestones. A total of seven site visits were conducted during this quarter, including three to KTDP Stage 1 and two each to MDRP and TDRP sites. The EIMS team certified six milestones/line items amounting to USD $2,751,996 during this reporting quarter. These included five completed milestones for KTDP Stage 1 amounting to USD $2,126,820.00 and one partial payment of PIL line items for TDRP amounting to USD $625,175.60. The overall physical progress for civil and Electrical and Mechanical (E&M) works at KTDP Stage 1 stands at 76.74 percent at the end of this quarter. Progress at KTDP Stage 1 has been slow due to site security issues and administrative and technical delays. The overall progress achieved during this quarter was reported as 0.50 percent, which is not satisfactory and is attributed to the delays observed during the quarter. Given the current progress, it is unlikely that the milestones will be completed by the PIL expiry date of September 2023. Milestones that are significantly delayed or not even started yet are planned to be replaced. The EIMS team conducted monitoring and inspection visits to all sites and performed desk reviews and studies of documents obtained from sites. Site visits included physical verification for certification of completed milestones/line items and monitoring the work progress of ongoing project-related activities. The EIMS team reported on work progress at the three project sites, including site inspections, progress monitoring, milestone certifications, and stakeholder meetings, according to the Task Order (TO) requirements.
