Abstract
The DTS team worked across all technical service areas to advance Power Africa strategic objectives during the reporting period. The DTS team completed 14 HETA due diligence reports and seven due diligence refresher memos, supporting the Power Africa Partnerships Office (PAPO) to onboard new partners and keep records current. The Pretoria-based Data Team provided support to implementing partners (IPs) for data management and reporting activities, including several trainings, and management of transactions assigned to DTS. The Data Team updated PATT based on feedback received from the Development Partner Commitment trackers, prepared several reports, and managed transactions assigned to DTS. The team collaborated with IPs, CORs, and the M&E team to identify transactions for archiving or transfer to DTS for tracking. The DTS team also worked with the PA Off-Grid Energy Specialist and Power Africa Off-Grid Program (PAOP) COR to discuss the business need and requirements to track and manage PAOP financial transactions in PATT. The DTS Data Manager created a new data entity in PATT along with dashboard tiles to capture PAOP financial transaction data. The team supported high-priority tasks related to Development Finance Corporation (DFC) deal transactions by modifying the power generation fields to flag DFC transactions, updating transaction data per IP feedback, and creating a summary slide deck of deal data. The PATT Development Team deployed new system enhancements, including automating the Development Partner Commitment Trackers, exporting associated partners tagged to transactions, and applied bug fixes. The DTS team also created the PATT Periodical newsletter and ten PATT Tutorial videos to raise awareness about PATT features and functions. The team laid the groundwork for the migration of PAIS M&E data to the USAID Development Information Solution, which will commence once Power Africa's requirements are finalized. The DTS team worked with the M&E team to identify changes in PA transactions between quarters three and four and prepared audit reports showing transaction update history over the contract period. The DTS team met with various stakeholder groups, including IPs, CORs, and the M&E team, to discuss data-related issues and PA reporting. The team also worked with the PA Off-Grid Energy Specialist and Power Africa Off-Grid Program (PAOP) COR to discuss the business need and requirements to track and manage PAOP financial transactions in PATT. The DTS team supported high-priority tasks related to Development Finance Corporation (DFC) deal transactions and created a summary slide deck of deal data.
