Abstract
The report focuses on the launch and dissemination of the 2013 report, the coordination of the design of CSDI municipalities oversample for 2014, and ongoing activities of the OD. The launch and dissemination of the 2013 report involved organizing an event on August 13th at Los Andes University in Bogotá, where professors Mitchel A. Seligson, Juan Carlos Rodriguez Raga, and Miguel García Sánchez presented the main results of the 2013 study on democratic culture and the peace talks in Colombia. The event was attended by USAID representatives, AECID representatives, ambassadors, Colombian senators, and former senators. Further dissemination of the report included presentations at Georgia State University, the Centro Nacional de Consultoria, the Corporación Pensamiento Siglo XXI, and the ACR. The report also highlights the coordination of the design of CSDI municipalities oversample for 2014, which involved working with USAID and LAPOP to define the list of municipalities to be included in the sample and the design of the questionnaire. The OD consulted with the CNC on technical issues related to the sample design and sent the final draft of the questionnaire and the definitive oversample to USAID. In addition to these activities, the OD was involved in ongoing activities related to the dissemination of the 2013 report, responding to information and data requests from civil society organizations and universities, and experiencing technical difficulties with its website. The OD has been meeting with Dattis each Thursday to work on scheduling presentations of the 2013 report and preparing upcoming presentations. The report also notes that the writing of the 2014 report on Colombia in comparative perspective is still on hold awaiting the completion of data gathering in all countries, and the dissemination of the mini-series on the Millennium goals has been delayed due to technical problems with the OD's web page. The OD plans to send packages including copies of previous years' reports to regional universities during the next quarter. The report concludes by highlighting the ongoing activities of the OD and its commitment to disseminating the results of the 2013 report and coordinating the design of CSDI municipalities oversample for 2014.
