Abstract
The project aims to scale up antiretroviral therapy (ART) services for people living with HIV (PLHIV) using an integrated, community-based approach in high-prevalence provinces. The main objective is to contribute towards the Government of Burundi's goal to achieve epidemic control nationally. The project's objectives are to identify HIV-positive men, women, and children through high-quality, targeted HIV testing and link them to ART services, increase ART coverage in men, women, and children living with HIV, and ensure HIV-positive men, women, and children on ART are virally suppressed. The project targets men, women, and children and covers six provinces: Bujumbura Rural, Bujumbura Mairie, Gitega, Kayanza, Kirundo, and Ngozi. In quarter 4 of FY19, project activities were implemented in alignment with the FY19 Work Plan and remediation action plans. The project continued to provide technical assistance to sites and implemented activities to support the eight programmatic objectives of the annual plan. The project's achievements within this reporting period are highlighted according to the eight programmatic objectives.
