Abstract
Embassy in Accra. The meeting aimed to engage key stakeholders in the health sector in West Africa on the RHO's strategic direction from 2015 to 2019. The RHO values partnerships and coordination, emphasizing the need for inclusive and cross-border collaboration. Partners should not only seek to leverage USAID efforts but also contribute solutions to address health sector gaps. Emerging themes from the meeting highlighted the importance of partnerships and coordination. Partnerships and coordination are crucial for addressing opportunities and gaps in the health sector. The RHO should focus on advocacy, increasing investment in webinars, meetings, and other meetings. Engaging more private sector engagement is necessary to avoid duplication of efforts. The RHO should also leverage technology to communicate health sector gaps. Integrated reproductive health and HIV services are essential, particularly for adolescents. The RHO should consider integrating family health and HIV services to limit the spread of HIV among young people. Synergy between education, sensitization, and school programs is necessary to promote service integration and task sharing. The RHO should focus on programming and policies that promote service integration and task sharing. The RHO should gather the voice of stakeholders and provide mechanisms for social and health care. Establishing sustainability from the project onset is crucial. The RHO should develop tools and employ robust data analysis to formulate data analysis. Different categories of data are not mutually exclusive, and there is a need for a profound analysis of data that considers logistics and national supply chain difficulties. Strategic planning is essential for the RHO. The high-level goal should be pitched higher, focusing on the rate of indicator improvement. The RHO should conceptualize health more than through a bio-medical approach, considering behavioral issues in the sub-region. The RHO should identify issues first and incorporate sustainability from the project onset. Creating a platform for everyone to learn about areas not working is necessary. The RHO should consider a cross-sector approach, integrating emergency humanitarian work, adaptation, and resilience. The RHO should also focus on programming and policies that promote service integration and task sharing. The RHO should engage with community workers and engage with community workers for education, awareness, and behavior change. The RHO should gather the voice of stakeholders and provide mechanisms for social and health care. Establishing sustainability from the project onset is
