Abstract
During the current quarter, the alliance proceeded with the implementation of planned actions to facilitate the deployment, promotion, and use of connectivity and financial services in these locations. The "Connectivity and Digital Tools in Areas of Alternative Development" component saw the signing of an agreement between Yachay Telecommunications and CEDRO, with Yachay drafting and presenting a Deployment Plan for connectivity. This plan marks the beginning of the expansion process for internet services in 70 of the 101 prioritized locations, known as the Fast Track. In the "Access and Use of Rural Financial Services in Areas of Alternative Development" component, Microfinanciera Prisma has established an agency in Juanjuí, which operates through financial advisors in selected locations. Mi Banco, in collaboration with CEDRO, is developing a pilot project on financial education to promote the supply of financial services to trained and informed populations. Incidence actions have also continued with other financial entities operating within the scope of the alliance. The training process in Financial Education and Business Initiatives has continued, with over 1,400 people trained: 1,390 in Financial Education (34% men and 66% women) and 17 in Business Initiatives. In the "Fixed Amount Awards" component, the first payment to Yachay Telecommunications was managed, corresponding to the first milestone (delivery of the Deployment Plan and signing of the agreement) for up to US$500,000. An agreement with Microfinanciera Prisma was also drafted for the amount of US$200,000, which will be sent to USAID for approval. The "Challenge Funds" component focused on planning for the first call to be held during the next semester. The "Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning" component continues to develop the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning System, which will collect and manage information to demonstrate the progress of the alliance's implementation. A baseline survey was conducted with an effective sample of 3,926 surveys in 18 of the 101 prioritized locations, with the information collected in the process of being analyzed and reported. The alliance has also approved the Branding and Marketing Plan and launched the Cr3ce Alliance for Digital and Financial Services on a national level, with the presence of the United States Ambassador, representatives from USAID, partners, allies, representatives from the Ministry of Economy and Finance, and the National Commission for Development and Life without Drugs.
